I had the honor to write and perform this song Aug. 1st, 2009, in Nashville, TN for the Tennessee Civil Rights Movement Heroes, including John Lewis. I recently recorded an updated version with the help of my grandson, William (percussion and lyrics), and my wife, Nancy (lyrics). Not all of the heroes are mentioned, but I hope this captures the spirit of what happened in Nashville. -John
